Shang Hongyi's Overseas Public Announcement – Traveling to Myanmar

To strengthen and expand our business operations in Myanmar, after careful consideration, it has been decided to send Shang Hongyi from Tianjin Machinery Import & Export Co., Ltd.—a subsidiary of our group—to Myanmar on July 20, 2023, to discuss business opportunities. He is expected to stay abroad for approximately 50 days.
The Myanmar Dabang 60-ton-per-day newsprint mill project completed equipment trial runs in 2017 and received the final acceptance report. However, full payment for all equipment purchases wasn’t settled until 2019. Since then, the paper mill has remained non-operational due to several factors, including a severe shortage of natural gas—a critical energy source—and personnel changes within relevant government departments.
Recently, the Myanmar paper mill unexpectedly reached out to our company, informing us that they are now ready to begin trial runs of the equipment under no-load conditions, followed by load testing and eventual production operations. They’ve expressed their desire for our engineering team to promptly dispatch technical experts to the site to provide on-site guidance and ensure smooth equipment startup and operation.
We held urgent discussions with Myanmar’s paper mills, relevant departments, and other stakeholders regarding the project budget, the size of the project team, and the project timeline. After finalizing all key details, we decided to send a representative to assist the Myanmar side in completing the commissioning tasks. Given that this production line involves a significant number of equipment pieces, there’s potential for the project to progress more slowly. Therefore, we’ve requested a total of 50 days for the entire commissioning process.
The expenses related to the delegation will be borne by Tianjin Machinery Import & Export Co., Ltd. and have already been included in the company's current-year budget for temporary official overseas (or border-crossing) travel expenses, totaling approximately 70,552 yuan.
