Sun Tiegang's Overseas Public Announcement – Departing for Uganda
2024-11-25
To strengthen and expand our business operations in Uganda, it has been decided after careful consideration to send Sun Tiegang from Tianjin Machinery Import & Export Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of our group, to Uganda on January 15, 2025, to discuss business opportunities. He is expected to stay abroad for 365 days and will apply for a one-year multiple-entry visa.
Our company has been exporting agricultural tools to Africa since the 1950s. The company’s three flagship trademarks—“Rooster,” “Diamond,” and “Swallow”—have been recognized as “Famous Trademarks of Tianjin City,” “Well-Known International Brands of Tianjin,” and “Key Export Brands of Tianjin City Under Development.” These renowned brands ensure that our agricultural tool products remain bestsellers across the African continent, generating annual export revenues exceeding tens of millions of U.S. dollars and contributing significantly to our company’s strong economic performance. In 1995, in line with our strategic business plan, we took a further step by establishing a subsidiary in Uganda—the Tianjin Machinery Uganda Company—which now operates locally through a warehouse-style distribution model.
To strengthen our company’s regular operations in Uganda and solidify and expand our agricultural equipment business in the local market, we conducted an on-site inspection to assess the sales performance of our equipment users as well as the competitive landscape. By visiting local customers and engaging in face-to-face discussions, we developed targeted marketing strategies and product improvement initiatives, further enhancing our ability to boost both the sales volume and market share of our agricultural tools in Uganda. Additionally, our resident staff members, building on their daily business activities, are scheduled to visit all major clients of the Ugandan subsidiary, carefully listening to their feedback and suggestions. This will provide us with firsthand insights to refine our service offerings and elevate product quality even further.
The expenses related to the delegation members will be borne by Tianjin Machinery Import & Export Co., Ltd. These costs have already been included in the company’s current-year budget for temporary official overseas (or border-crossing) travel, with funding sourced directly from the company’s internal funds. The estimated cost per person is approximately 30,550 yuan.
