Zhang Peng's Overseas Public Announcement – Departing for Tanzania
2024-12-09
To strengthen and expand our business presence in the African market, after careful consideration, it has been decided to send Comrade Zhang Peng from Tianjin Machinery Import & Export Co., Ltd.—a subsidiary of our group—to Tanzania on January 23, 2025, to discuss business opportunities in Uganda. He is expected to stay abroad for five days and will apply for a one-year multiple-entry visa to Tanzania.
Our company has been exporting agricultural tools to Africa since the 1950s. The company’s three flagship trademarks—“Rooster,” “Diamond,” and “Swallow”—have been recognized as “Famous Trademarks of Tianjin City,” “Well-known International Brands in Tianjin,” and “Key Export Brands Being Cultivated and Developed in Tianjin City,” respectively. Products under these three brands remain bestsellers across the African continent. Tanzania has long been a traditional market for our agricultural tools, contributing nearly US$1 million annually to our export revenue. However, in recent years, this market has seen increasingly fierce competition from other brands. To strengthen and expand our presence there, we plan to ramp up our marketing efforts and enhance direct, face-to-face communication with customers, working together to safeguard and grow our local market share in agricultural tools.
To consolidate and expand Tanzania's agricultural tool market, we conducted a field visit to assess the local sales performance of our agricultural equipment products, as well as evaluate our competitors' strategies. By meeting with local customers face-to-face, we gathered firsthand insights, enabling us to develop targeted marketing strategies and product improvement initiatives. This will help us further strengthen our market position and increase both the sales volume and market share of our agricultural tools in this key region.
Visiting our Tanzanian clients to gain insights into our product sales and market competition, we’ll develop the next phase of our sales strategy tailored to the specific market dynamics. This will help us further strengthen and expand our product market share.
Since January is traditionally when we finalize annual order agreements with customers, and August-September marks the peak local sales season, we plan to leverage these two critical periods for client visits. Our goals are twofold: first, to secure as many orders as possible; and second, to thoroughly assess how our products are performing in the market and gather valuable customer feedback. This information will enable us to refine our products and services moving forward, ultimately driving greater sales growth.
The expenses related to the delegation members will be borne by Tianjin Machinery Import & Export Co., Ltd. These costs have already been included in the company's current-year budget for temporary official overseas (or border-crossing) travel, with approximately RMB 29,157 allocated per person.
