To strengthen and expand our business presence in the Bangladeshi market, after careful consideration, it has been decided that Zhiyi Zuo, Qinghua Nguyen, and Chunyuan Liu from Tianjin Machinery Import & Export Co., Ltd.—a company under our group—will travel to Bangladesh on May 30, 2024, to discuss business opportunities. They are expected to stay abroad for seven days.

Our company has been exporting agricultural tools since the 1950s. The company’s three flagship trademarks—“Rooster,” “Diamond,” and “Swallow”—have been recognized as “Famous Trademarks of Tianjin City,” “Well-known International Brands of Tianjin,” and “Key Export Brands Cultivated and Developed by Tianjin City,” respectively. For decades, agricultural tools bearing these three brands have enjoyed strong sales across Asia, Africa, and Latin America, contributing significantly to our company’s robust economic performance. Bangladesh is one of our primary markets for agricultural tools, with annual export volumes averaging between US$1 million and US$2 million over the past decade and a half. However, in recent years, challenges such as increased market competition—partly due to staffing shortages and the ongoing impact of the pandemic—have led to some customer attrition. As a result, we urgently need to visit our clients in person, strengthen collaboration with them, and work together to revive and solidify our traditional market presence.

By visiting local customers in Bangladesh, engaging in face-to-face discussions to gain a deeper understanding of their actual needs and business conditions, we will develop tailored marketing strategies and product improvement initiatives, ultimately helping us restore the sales volume and market share of our agricultural tool products in the Bangladeshi market. Additionally, by conducting on-site inspections of how our brand is performing in Bangladesh, we’ll gain valuable insights into both our strengths and weaknesses, enabling us to implement targeted measures that enhance the competitiveness of our products in this key regional market. Furthermore, we will also visit the Commercial Section of the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh to gather comprehensive information about the country’s overall economic landscape, balance of payments, and potential risks. This will allow us to better align our business strategies with local market dynamics and seek the Commercial Section’s expert advice on fostering robust economic and trade exchanges in Bangladesh.

The expenses related to the delegation will be borne by Tianjin Machinery Import & Export Co., Ltd. These costs have already been included in the company’s current-year budget for temporary official overseas (or border-crossing) travel, which is funded entirely from the company’s internal resources. The estimated cost per person is approximately 16,169 yuan.
