To strengthen and expand our business operations in Bangladesh, after careful consideration, it has been decided that Zhao Qiang from Tianjin Machinery Import & Export Co., Ltd.—a subsidiary of our group—will travel to Bangladesh from February 15 to February 29, 2023, to discuss business opportunities. He is expected to stay abroad for a total of 15 days.
Bangladesh serves as a crucial regional hub for tire and rubber industry development in Central Asia, boasting significant untapped market potential in this sector. This time, Zhao Qiang from the machinery company traveled to Bangladesh to engage in business discussions with key clients—first, to expand the company’s presence in the region and further strengthen its brand visibility in the global market; second, because the rubber machinery equipment that the company had shipped to the client back in 2021 was delayed until early 2023 due to pandemic-related challenges, prompting an urgent need to head to Bangladesh soon for on-site commissioning and installation services. Additionally, the client is planning a major investment of $3 million to expand their tire manufacturing facility, making it critical to participate promptly in the bidding process for the procurement of the necessary rubber machinery equipment.
The expenses related to the delegation will be borne by Tianjin Machinery Import & Export Co., Ltd. and have already been included in the company's current-year budget for official temporary overseas (or border-crossing) travel expenses, totaling approximately 48,224 yuan.
