Shi Chengxin's Overseas Public Announcement – Departing for Uganda

2025-02-24

To strengthen and expand our business operations in Uganda, it has been decided after careful consideration to send Shi Chengxin from Tianjin Machinery Import & Export Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of our group, to Uganda on April 1, 2025, to discuss business opportunities. He is expected to stay abroad for 365 days and will apply for a one-year multiple-entry visa.

Our company has been exporting agricultural tools to Africa since the 1950s. The company’s three flagship trademarks—“Rooster,” “Diamond,” and “Swallow”—have been recognized as “Famous Trademarks of Tianjin City,” “Well-known International Brands of Tianjin,” and “Key Export Brands Being Cultivated and Developed in Tianjin.” These renowned brands ensure that our agricultural tool products remain bestsellers across the African continent, generating annual export revenues exceeding tens of millions of U.S. dollars and contributing significantly to our company’s strong economic performance. In 1995, aligned with our strategic business plan, we took a further step by establishing a subsidiary in Uganda—Tianjin Machinery Uganda Company—which now operates locally under a warehouse-style business model.

To strengthen our company’s regular operations in Uganda and solidify and expand our agricultural equipment business in the local market, we conducted an on-site visit to assess the sales performance of our equipment users as well as the competitive landscape. By meeting with local customers face-to-face, we were able to engage in direct communication, enabling us to develop targeted marketing strategies and product improvement initiatives. This approach will further enhance our ability to consolidate and grow the market share and overall sales volume of our agricultural equipment in Uganda.

After careful consideration by the company, Tianjin Machinery Uganda Co. currently has an urgent need for additional staff stationed locally.

To address the ongoing shortage of daily operational staff, resident employees should, on top of regular business activities, personally visit all major clients of the Ugandan company. This will allow them to thoroughly gather feedback and suggestions, providing the company with firsthand insights that can be used to enhance service quality and improve product offerings.

The expenses related to the delegation members will be borne by Tianjin Machinery Import & Export Co., Ltd. These costs have already been included in the company’s current-year budget for temporary official overseas (or border-crossing) travel, which is funded entirely from the company’s internal resources. The estimated cost per person is approximately 20,000 yuan.
